Falcons’ coach sweats over assistants sack

Falcons coach Eucheria Uche revealed that the sacking of her two assistants, Ann Agumanu and Gidado Idris by the Nigeria Football Federation is beginning to weigh on her.

Uche the first African woman coach to lift the African women championship is preparing to take on Namibia on Sunday for a slot in the All African Games billed for Mozambique in September. She stated that the work is getting harder by the day without her assistants even as she is still waiting for the German trainer promised by the NFF.

“The absence of my two assistants is been felt, but the work must go on.

“I am yet to meet with the newly hired German trainer NFF has mentioned him to me. We would have to cope for now,” said the coach.

She added that the team is looking forward to beating Namibia to book a place at the All Africa Games and also prepare well for the Women World Cup in June.

“We will be using the qualifiers as preparations for the World cup.
