OWERRI-SENATOR Osita Izunaso, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Imo West, has denied news reports alleging his endorsement of Chief Hope Uzodinma, his rival for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP senatorial ticket for Imo West.

 Debunking the reports which he claimed were orchestrated by political rivals, Izunaso who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Gas affirmed that he could not have endorsed Uzodinma whom he said was yet contending the party ticket with him.

He further affirmed that he could not have endorsed his rival when the litigation over the dispute that arose from the PDP primaries was still in court.

Izunaso, who progressively rose from the House of Representatives where he served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Housing to the Senate aspired for re-election on the PDP ticket in the 2011 election.The PDP primary was, however, marked by disputes between him and his main rival and the issue is presently in court.
