Step by Step Process

Step 1: Choose Your Program

Step 2: Admission Requirements

*A completed Humber International Application Form is required.* Original or copies (attested to by the educational institution of issue) of records that prove you have achieved academic standing equal to 12 years of primary and secondary education for post secondary programs, or completion of a university or college program for postgraduate programs.

*Proof of English Language Proficiency, varying depending on program/level of entry. These requirements vary depending on the type of program to which you are applying. If you do not meet the minimum English language requirements, you may be eligible for conditional acceptance, if you enroll in and successfully complete Humber’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.

*$75 CAD application fee. This can be paid by bank draft, credit card, or wire transfer.

* If admission requirements for your program include other documents (portfolio, writing samples, questionnaires) be sure to provide these as well. If you contact the International Centre in advance, we can send you a list of the documents for you to include with your application package.

Individual Home Country Guidelines

Admission requirements for Humber depend on your country of origin and the level of education you have achieved prior to applying.

* Student visa applications must be submitted to the Canadian High Commission (CHC) in Nigeria at least 3 months prior to the start of classes. Failure to submit a completed application prior to this deadline will result in notification from the CHC that there is insufficient processing time, and that you will not be able to begin your studies at Humber as planned.

For admission to a post secondary diploma or certificate program, the requirement are:

1. International Application Form

2. Application fee $75 CAD

3. One of the following:

* West African School Certificate/General Certificate of Education 0 Levels and A Levels with a minimum grade of four in five relevant subjects (including English)

*Senior School Certificate with a minimum grade of four in six relevant subjects (including English)

Admission to a Bachelor’s Degree Program required the following:

1. International Application Form

2. Application fee $75 CAD

3. One of the following:

*West African School Certificate/General Certificate of Education A Levels with a minimum grade of two in five relevant subjects (including English)

*Senior School Certificate with a minimum grade of two in six relevant subjects (including English)

4. A complete educational history including transcripts for any post secondary courses or programs completed.

Admission to a graduate certificate programme required:

1. International Application Form

2. Application fee $75 CAD

3. University degree (2nd Class or higher) and transcripts

4. A complete educational history including transcripts for any post_secondary courses or programs completed.

Alternative testing for English and Math Proficiency

If your English and/or math score does not meet Humber’s minimum requirements, you may request additional testing in your home country. You can contact Canada Embassy for more information.
