ICA to reward credit professional for contribution to sector

The Institute of Credit Administration (ICA) has announced plans to reward outstanding professionals and corporate organisations in the industry for their efforts towards uplifting the sector.

Dr. Chris Onalo, Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, ICA in a statement said the ICA 2010 Credit Industry Awards will be presented to individuals and corporate organisation for their professionalism, pioneering efforts and commitment to improving and protecting the nation’s credit industry.

He noted that entries are expected for the awards, which is scheduled to hold, April 2011 in Lagos, in 12 categories, adding that the ICA has introduced areas of interest which suits individual, team skills and corporate achievements.

“The ICA’s annual credit industry awards, Onalo said, “is the most authentic, original and unmatched in the nation’s credit industry for prestigious legacy, breadth of influence, rigorous and independent judging process and wide appeal.”

He continued, “there is no other scheme which represents the nation’s credit industry so widely or fairly. It is a celebration of excellence, conferring prestige and recognition on its awardees.”

The various categories in the award include: award for the contribution to the credit industry award, corporate social responsibility award, credit card provider of the year award, mortgage lender of the year award, asset finance firm of the year award.

Other include: Credit personality of the year award, debt recovery executive of the year award, credit fraud prevention team of the year, litigation team of the year credit risk team of the year, credit manager of the year and commercial credit team. of the year award.
