LAGOS -A 48 years old business man, Olabode Afilaka, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate Court, Lagos, for allegedly defrauding one Mr. Ogunmoye Oluwagbemiga of huge sums of money, by sending text messages to their unsuspecting victims, congratulating them for winning lottery.
Trial Magistrate in the matter is Mrs A .T Oyoyele. The accused was arraigned on a five-count charge of fraud and advance fee fraud.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was granted bail in sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was accused of obtaining huge sums of money by collecting MTN recharge card from one Mr. Ogunmoye, a criminal offence punishable under section 419 Criminal Code Law of Lagos State 2003 and section 370 of the Criminal Code, Lagos State 2003, respectively.
