No democracy in PDP controlled states – Eferakeya

UGHELLI-THE Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial in the Federal House of Senate, Prof Adegor Eferakeya, yesterday, said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, controlled states had failed in terms of providing the dividends of democracy to their people when compared with the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, controlled states.

He blamed electoral malpractices in the country on the youths, stressing the need for Nigerians to wage war against the menace of electoral malpractice. He added that it was the place of the youths to fight against election rigging.

Eferakeya who is seeking  a second term on the banner of the ACN, said, “youths are the ones that can stand and monitor votes during elections.”

The Senator who spoke during a re-election visit to the Youth Wing of the Urhobo Progress Union, UPU ‘Ighele’ at Uvwiamuge-Agbarho, Delta State, advised the youths to screen critically candidates, who  come jostling for their votes in order for them not to elect wrong persons to represent them.
