ENUGU-Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State yesterday intensified his campaign, with prominent citizens in the state paying him glowing tributes and assuring of their support.

The governor also re-assured investors of an enabling environment for investments.

At Udenu local government council, Second Republic parliamentarian, Ambassador Justina Eze, said: “I thank God that such outstanding accomplishments are happening in Enugu State during my lifetime. There was a time we were the laughing stock because of the type of administration we had.

“Yet, the same people who ran our state under, without any shame, are moving around and pretending to be campaigning to produce a governor from Nsukka land.”

Also speaking, spokesman of the Senate and Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Enugu North senatorial district, Ayogu Eze said: “The fight between Governor Chime and those who wanted to hand-pick candidates for Nsukka was not about the governor. His (Chime’s) seat was not in contest but they needed to sell dummies to some people for obvious reasons.”
