Lagos – Detectives at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Lagos, have begun investigation into the death of a teenager, whose lifeless body was, weekend, found dangling from the roof of an apartment in the densely populated Ajegunle area of Lagos.

The deceased identified as Azeez Nurudeen,was reportedly last seen at about 7pm same day. However, at about 10.15pm, residents of 9 Amusa Street Layeni, were reportedly alerted by a shout of help from one of the apartments.

On getting to the apartment, the residents were taken aback by the sight of the remains of Nurudeen dangling from the roof.

So far, the police had not been able to establish whether he was murdered and thereafter hung there. There was also no suicide note to ascertain the probable cause of the deceased taking his own life.

The scene according to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Samuel Jinadu, who confirmed the incident, was immediately visited by policemen from Layeni division, who subsequently removed the corpse and deposited same in the mortuary.

Investigation according to Jinadu, was still on-going.
