Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Lagos State chapter, has declared that there was no vacancy in Alausa State House, adding that it had concluded plans for the kick-off of its campaign for the re-election of Governor Babatunde Fashola in the April gubernatorial polls.

This came as the Arewa Community at Mile 12 market, Lagos, yesterday, during an interactive media briefing, expressed their unalloyed support for the second term ambition of Governor Fashola and the Lagos East Senatorial District candidate, Mr. Baheeru Ashafa.

Chairman of ACN in Lagos, Chief Henry Ajomale, in the company of Campaign Committee Chairman in the state, Mr. Tunji Bello, declared the no vacancy claim, while highlighting activities lined up for the gubernatorial and the state-wide campaigns beginning from tomorrow at Tafawa Balewa Square,  Lagos Island.

Ajomale said the party will commence its state-wide campaign from March 7,  as he assured Lagos residents of security of lives and property.

Ajomale, however, warned the 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas, bosses aspiring to return to offices in November that the yardstick for the party ticket was performance.

He said that in order to forestall the stampede that happened at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, rally in Port Harcourt, ACN had put in place machinery for crowd control and respond to any emergency at any of the campaign grounds.

“However, we cannot rule out the enthusiasm of our supporters because of the trust and the calibre of people,who  represent ACN in the political offices allocated to the state,” Ajomale added.

On the party chairmen, he said “the party has established four monitoring groups to access the performance of each council.”
