The Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), has lend its support for the Nigeria DigitalSENSE forum scheduled to hold later this month in Lagos.
The Nigeria DigitalSENSE forum, is an annual event that focuses on the Internet Governance and development in the country and put together by Lagos-based DigitalSence Africa.
The Executive Secretary, ATCON, Mr. Ajibola Olude who made this known through a statement noted that the group decided to pronounce its support for the forum due to its laudable initiative.
“Please accept the commendation and endorsement of our association on this laudable initiative,” he declared,” he added.
Olude promised that ATCON would mobilize its membership by encouraging them to lend their individual support to DigitalSENSE forum, so as to ensure the grand success of the forum, scheduled for next month.
ATCON is a professional, non-profit umbrella organization of all telecommunication companies in Nigeria, and a national trade organization, with membership drawn from Nigeria and multi-national companies which provide telecommunications and information technology products and services in the country.
Reacting to the endorsement by ATCON, the Executive Director, Operations at DigitalSence Africa Media, the organizers of the forum, Mrs. Nkemdilim Nweke, said it’s heart-warming, just as the endorsement came a few weeks to the event.”
She disclosed that plans have been concluded to ensure that the quality of speakers and participants improve.
She further stated that the event would be presided over by the immediate past president of ATCON, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, has its main theme centered on Internet Governance and Broadband Evolution in Nigeria and has been scheduled to hold in Lagos.
