Ijebu-Ode (Ogun) – ACN gubernatorial candidate in Ogun, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, has promised to implement a free education and health care programmes  if elected.

He made the pledge on Monday at the party’s  campaign rally held in Ijebu-Ode.

According to him, his party’s manifesto provides for free education for all students in  primary and secondary schools in the state and free medical care for all pregnant women.

“By the grace of God, when ACN is sworn-in , the party would provide free education for all primary and secondary students and there would also be free medical care for  pregnant women and children,’’  he said.

Amosun further pledged that children between one and five years,  would enjoy free medical care if the party won the election.

The candidate, who expressed optimism that he would win the election, stated that his government would create employment opportunities for the people.

He said that ACN was prepared to do better than the current ruling party has done in  the state.

Amosun also promised that the party would restructure the agricultural sector in the state by setting aside N1 billion  for distribution  to farmers in the state.

“We have passion for agriculture and with this passion in us as a party,  we shall revive all our farm settlements, including the rubber plantation.

“One of the ways in which we want to achieve this  is by setting aside N1 billion for the agricultural sector.

“We believe this will assist farmers to increase food production as well as create job opportunities for the youths,” he said.

He urged party members not to sell their votes, saying that they represented their power to freedom. (NAN)
