COACH Kashimawo Laloko has strongly opposed the hiring of a foreign trainer for the Super Falcons to assist the team coach, Eucharia Uche ahead of the FIFA Women World Cup in Germany later in the year.
The former Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) said the decision to hire a foreign hand was an insult to the indigenous coaches. But NFF’s image maker, Demola Olajire said that the foreigner would be a match reader. “Uche Eucharia is still going to be in-charge. It is a similar arrangement like the Flying Eagles.
He will help Uche but Uche remains the person in charge”, Olajire said.
“It’s an insult for NFF to import a trainer from Germany for the Super falcons. Are they saying that a Nigerian coach cannot do that job? Is it because Coach Samson Siasia brought Simon Kalika to assist him in his Super Eagles job,?” he asked
