Former Gambian national team coach Kashimawo Laloko has called on  Nigerians  to give Super Eagles head coach, Samson Siasia a chance to carry out his job without interference .

The director of the Pepsi Football Academy, told Saturday Vanguard sports that the team is still in the rebuilding process and would want  Nigerians not to interfere.

“As far as I am concerned, I like what Siasia is doing and  should be allowed to do his job  without supervision or dictation from anybody . He is still building and needs nobody’s intervention.  They should just give him the chance to do his work as a coach and I  believe he will come out with good result, ” Laloko said.

When asked if Saisia should  retain the old players in the team or discontinue with them, the former Stationery Stores FC coach queried the continuos use of the  old players  when the country has a rich pool of talents .

He mentioned players like Nwankwo Kanu, Yakubu, Aiyegbeni, Joseph Yobo  and a host of other old players that need to be out of the team, saying their era has  past.

“Before the commencement of the last World Cup in South Africa ,  I warned them not to include the old players because they are not strong enough for the task ahead. They refused and it backfired on us, we could not even go to the second round. Of what use was Kanu at the World Cup. He (Siasia) should continue building the team with young players and not the old players,” he Said
