To consolidate on the achievements so far recorded on cultural revival of Anioma nation, the Organisation For the Advancement of Anioma Culture (OFAAC), the culture umbrella body of the Anioma people, in Delta State, recently reconstituted its board of directors with the appointment of additional Four [4] cultural aficionados with great administrative prowess as board members to strengthen its operational capacity.

The Four additional members elected into OFAAC board of directors are, Dr Joseph Egwu, a renowned scholar and historian, trained at the Temple University, Philadelphia, USA, Hon. Mathew Ochonogor, an advocate of good governance and a serving politician, Mr. Sunday Oliseh , a seasoned administrator and Director, Maintenance & Technical Services and Mr. Donatus Itoro, a revered community leader and a seasoned scholar.

The newly elected executives were officially presented with their letters at an inauguration ceremony held at Orchid Hotels, Asaba on Sunday 16 January, 2011. Present at the inauguration ceremony were other members of the board of directors including; Mr. Paddy Ugboh – Vice President, Barr. Monn Olodu – National Secretary, Mr Giddy Nwaomu – Director, organsiation and Mrs Ella Nwabueze – Director Women Affairs.

Speaking at the occasion, OFAAC President, Ifeadi, charged members of the newly reconstituted Board of Directors to use their wealth of experience and exposure on contemporary management of arts and culture, to place Anioma nation and its cultural values on a high pedestal of global recognition. He also stated that the reconstitution of the board of directors and the emergence of the persons elected into the board was in fulfillment of the constitution of the organization and the promise to reinvigorate the organization for the challenges of the twenty first century arts and culture management.
