Chairmen of the 10 wards of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, and 14 elders/leaders of the party in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State have petitioned the national chairman of the party, protesting the removal of Mr. Eme Mukoro’s name, who won the party primary election in the area.
In the petition to the DPP national chairman and copied the state chairman, Chief Great Ogboru and others, they requested re-listing of the name of Mr Mukoro as the winner of Delta State House of Assembly, Ughelli South constituency primaries in the interest of justice.
Some of those who signed the petition are Chief David Ikolo, DPP patron, Ughelli South; Chief William Alu, Chief Samuel Oboramohwoyere, Chief Adelabu Bojoh, Prophet Jimmy Agbavwe, Comrade Alfred Anigbore, Mr. Joe Abiri, Chief Alfred Okoriko, Mr. Jabin Idoghor, Mr. Michael Mukoro, Mr Samuel Alakpa, Chief Augustine Oduaran, Mr. Sunday Okoyoyo and Mr. Okoyoh Amos.
They said Mukoro won the primary election and the relevant papers were signed by the returning officers.
