Guinness donates equipment to LUTH

Guinness Nigeria Plc recently reinforced its commitment to improving healthcare in Nigeria by donating an eye laser equipment to the eye centre of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

At the presentation ceremony, Dr. A. O. Onakoya, Head of Department of the eye centre, said the machine would be used to perform a procedure known as capsulomy for helping glaucoma patients who shy away from surgical operations.

A Resident Doctor, Dr. Sonuga Adaeze, emphasized on the uses of the machine, which she said will include clearing residues in the eye and also improve visual at the core.

Speaking, Mr. Sesan Sobowale, said “Guinness Nigeria is committed to improving lives in the society and this is just one of those ways weshow concern for others.”

He thanked the management of the Guinness Eye Centre for all the good work in maintaining the centre and urged them to continue in this stead.
