Former Rangers technical adviser, Christian Chukwu has hailed Dolphin FC of Port Harcourt  on  their current form in the league but was quick to add that they should not relent on their effort.

Last weekend Dolphins FC increased their lead at the top of the Nigerian Premier League to four points after a 1-0 victory over close rivals Sunshine Stars.  Chukwu, a member of the 1980 Green Eagles winning squad, said it is a sign of hard work and commitment in the team, stressing that the only way the team will maintain a  clean slate in all their matches  is to be  consistent and remain focussed.

“I’m delighted at the result of Dolphin, close to a month they have been doing pretty well in the league. It shows  they are focussed.  I believe this is their season and they should keep it up. If they must maintain their  position till the end of the season, they must know that other teams are waiting in the wings to break them.

We are battle ready for Gombe — Wolves

Last weekend Warri Wolves FC defeated their opponents, Sharks FC by  3-0. This weekend they have promised to repeat that feat against Gombe United in far away Bauchi today.

Wolves Media Officer Timi Ebikagboro said the match  is a must win as he added that  the team’s  aim is  to have a straight win to help them achieve their goal of winning the league title this season.

In a chat with Inside out Premier League, Ebikagboro said the team is out  to give their best as they will not settle for a draw or defeat.
“We want to attribute our victories to God. I want to say that our victories are not magic because we are very determine in all our games. The important thing is that the coaches and players know what they are doing.

“For a long time we have been one of the best teams in the Premier League and we know what it takes to win a match. We are playing Gombe United in Bauchi, for us to win the league we must win all our matches and today’s tie is not an exception.

We will bounce back — Adepoju

Managing Director of Shooting Stars Football Club of Ibadan, Mutui Adepoju is worried over the loss of concentration by his players but said everything would be done to check it.

Shooting Stars had a swell time at the beginning of the season where they were sitting atop the league table but could not maintain it .

Last weekend the Ibadan side  were defeated 1-0 away from home in Owerri against Heartland FC after giving  much hope to their  fans.
In a chat with inside out Premier League, the former Super Eagles player, said  the only  problem that has been confronting the team is that the players do lose concentration, adding that they will do their best to rectify their  mistakes in subsequent matches.

“Nothing has happened so far, the only problem we had of late is the fact that our players are losing focus. We have drawn  two of our matches but we are doing our best  not  to draw again,” he said.
