CONCRETE Technology Incorporated (CTI) Nigeria Limited, has introduced into the Nigerian market a revolutionary coating system designed to protect existing concrete and providing all surfaces and floor coverings with new look and design. The products which serve as alternatives to the use of tiles and other forms of floor finishing, are said to be twice the strength of normal concrete work.

Speaking at the formal introduction of the products last week in Epe, Lagos, the Chief Executive Officer of CTI Nigeria, Mrs. Monsurat Omotayo said her company is the first organisation in the country to provide the service of concrete coating, pointing out that the organisation is designed to create a new perspective to new estates and building structures in the country.

“ The organisation’s mission in Nigeria is to create a revolutionary protection for concrete by becoming the premier concrete and resurfacing company in Nigeria. This is the first of its kind in the Nigerian market. The CTI system is an innovative product that brings beauty and aesthetic to concrete. It is ideal for the Nigerian weather as the concrete is made to be resistant to UV rays, cracks and chemicals. It increases the economic value of properties with concrete made twice as strong.

“We want to provide clients with decorative and protective product for concrete. We provide this product and service in a very creative and professional way. We market, sell and install a product line of concrete resurfacing and restoration products manufactured by CTI in Largo, Florida, USA. CTI’s revolutionary concrete coating can protect and restore concrete. The system is oil resistant, mildew, salt and UV resistant. It is cool to walk on when applied in lighter colours. The system is a cost effective alternative to tearing out and replacing existing concrete.

“The CTI system can be applied to any number of surfaces ranging from steps to walls to driveways, patios and pool decks along many other areas around the home and office. she explained.

In his remarks, Mr. Hafis Omotayo, Chairman, CTI Nigeria; said the coating system can take any structurally defective concrete and give it new life. One unique feature of the CTI system he noted is that it can be installed in an unlimited number of designs, colours and patterns and friendly with any weather condition.

The company, he said, recently organised a training session at Epe for staff, dealers and interested participants on how to install and design the products.
