JOSA-USA congratulates Jonathan

 By Emmanuel Elebeke

Members  of  the  Jonathan-Sambo grassroots mobilization team based in United States of America, USA has  congratulated  President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan  and  his  Vice Arch. Namadi  Sambo on their victory as presidential and vice presidential candidates of  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2011 polls.

President of the group, Mr. Jimmy Asiegbu,  said that the number  of states  won by the duo, the overall  number of delegate votes and the geographical spread  of  the victory, demonstrated  that Nigerians trust and have chosen the Jonathan-Sambo  team.

“We, (JOSA-USA) are pleased  to  be  associated  with  Jonathan-Sambo ticket,  leadership team and  campaign  organization.  Our members  are particularly excited  at  the  success of  our  campaign  strategies, especially our relentless text  messages  urging the PDP delegates to  cast  their votes for  the President.

We are  grateful  to  all  the PDP Delegates who honored  our  appeal  and  voted  for  His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck  Jonathan. We  ask  for  your  continued  support  until  the  election  is finally won in the upcoming  April 2011 general election,” the group said.

With the primaries now over, Asiegbu said that the group is currently  focusing attention on  strategies  that  will ensure a renewed  mandate  for  Jonathan /Sambo Ticket  to continue their governance  of the country for  the  next  four  years.

“We strongly believe  that  with  Jonathan  as   the President, Nigeria will regain  her  rightful place  in  the  comity of nations. We acknowledge the spirited campaign  of  the  party  colleagues who did not prevail in the primaries. We urge them to close ranks for the best interest of  the Party and  all  Nigerians,” the group added.

The association  also  appealed  to President  Jonathan  to  reach out  to them  to  join  the campaign, as  we  move  to  ensure victory  in April 2011. The task  and  battle  to win a Presidential election is huge and  requires joint efforts  to achieve  victory at the polls
