THE Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN,  governorship flag bearer in the April 2011 election in Delta State, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege, has called on all well meaning and patriotic people of the state to participate fully in the ongoing voters registration exercise.

Addressing his party members in Warri, Delta State, Omo-Agege said “the voter registration exercise is a call to duty, and it behooves on all of us to answer this clarion call. No doubt, your vote is your right and if you do not register now, you will not only be unable to vote,  you will also be denying yourself the opportunity to elect a leader of your choice.”

In a press release  by the Director of Public Communications of Omo-Agege Campaign Organization, Mr. Peter Osamgbi, the ACN governorship candidate hopes to continue to mobilize for active participation in the voter’s registration by speaking to focus groups, students faith based organizations, traditional rulers and opinion leaders.

Obarisi Omo-Agege urged every Deltan not to be disheartened by the hitches being witnessed at the moment with the slow pace of registration by INEC and its officials, but said it was usual with newly introduced and not yet perfected systems to come up with such teething challenges.

“This should not dampen our resolve as Deltans to empower ourselves by registering in order to sweep away the monstrous giant that has become a behemoth of non performance in Delta State in the last 12 years. We must not be deterred! We must persist,” he added.
