WARRI—NIGERIANS in Diaspora, yesterday, came down hard on the former Petroleum Minister, Prof Tam David West, for allegedly inciting  the former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to take President Goodluck Jonathan to court over the conduct of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s presidential primaries, won by the latter.

Chairman of the GEJ/Sambo 2011 Diaspora Support Group Europe and America, Chief Lambert Igboanugo in a statement said, “it is now obvious that Prof. David-David has personal animosity against  President Jonathan. He must stop looking for a cheap avenue to call for a court action in a transparent process simply because he doesn’t like the face of Mr. President. He is an isolated incident and we pray Nigerians to ignore and forgive him.”

The group frowned at the continuous distortion of facts on national issues by David, saying, “we see him as a man who should quit the stage when the ovation is high,  instead of being a pain in the neck to Nigerians’ collective will to project Jonathan,  as the generational change agent, which can be seen in his Facebook relationship with Nigerian youths.”

“Its words, “The man Prof. David should know that we have had enough of where a candidate should come from, instead of what a candidate could offer. The country has therefore seen where the pendulum is swinging and this is a proof of egalitarian society”.

“Let him realize that he is very isolated in this case and must leave Nigerians alone to enjoy the wind of positive change, which Jonathan’s success  in the recent presidential primaries brought to the polity and it’s acceptability within the international community where we belong .This success is  a prelude to what to expect come April 2011”.

“Tam David should take a cursory look at what is happening in Ivory Coast and stop being afraid of the nemesis that will catch up with him when surely Jonathan wins in April 2011”, adding, “Mr. David has over played his hatred for Mr. President knowing full well that Nigerians at home and in Diaspora have rejected his antics”.

He congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan for winning the most transparent presidential primaries in the history of Nigeria just as he commended former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr Sarah Jubril for their efforts.
