The Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been in operation for four years without a website.
According to investigation, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry was formed in 2007, by the merging of two former ministries-Ministry of Commerce, and Ministry of Industry.

However, four years after the merger , the Ministry has no website to showcase activities of the ministry and the commerce and industry sector to both local and international public.

Vanguard gathered that the reasons why ministers past and present did not give attention to the website project was because  impostors who have no business with the ministry will be positioning to hijack it.

Industry source noted for instance that even the website for campaign for made in Nigeria was hijacked by those who can not make it to work because of money.

“It is now they are coming to our office to give their input.” “The ministry need to be reorganised to function very well.   It will be very difficult, and as you are aware the man (current minister )  has less than three months in the saddle.” the source said.
