AT least four persons returning from a beach party, Saturday, were crushed to death in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State, throwing the university community into mourning.

Vanguard gathered that the ghastly accident, which occurred along the ever busy Abraka-Agbor Expressway, occured at about 3.30 pm, adding that residents of the community trooped to the accident scene, to identify the victims. According to a reliable source, the commercial bus was overtaking a jeep along the expressway when it ran into two motor cycles that were carrying two passengers each at the Famous Hotel Junction.

The source who pleaded anonymity, said the victims were returning from a beach party on bike, adding that one of the Okada riders and three girls died on the spot, while the other Okada rider and one of his passengers sustained serious injuries. He added that the survivors, who were in critical health condition were rushed to a nearby hospital.
