PRIMATE of the King Sabbath Mission Worldwide, Rev. Patrick Nebo, said Monday that the recent bomb blasts in Abuja were just the beginning of disasters that will befall the country ahead of this year’s general election unless urgent and positive steps were taken to nip them in the bud.

Presenting his New Year message to newsmen in Enugu, the primate, who predicted in 1993 that the winner of the presidential election would not be given the chance to claim his mandate, predicted that many more deaths would be recorded in the build up to the elections.

His words: “I will go back to what happened in the year 1992/1993 when we were about ushering in a new year, when we had our midnight prayer that new year eve, the message said Nigeria was about to have its general elections that the person who will win the presidential election would be denied the opportunity and that it will mark the beginning of Nigeria’s problem; and behold it happened that way and that is what we now call June 12.

“Subsequently, I have been having series of messages concerning this country but this year it comes up again and the message says that a lot of people will die because of frustration and as a result of what the ‘timbers and calibers are doing with this nation. It warns that the nation must be very careful because of what would happen that Nigeria is going to experience so many disasters because of the selfishness of some people who would not give peace a chance to reign.

“Because of that, it’s like we are going contrary to the will of the divinity, that’s why the disaster. I warn spiritually that Nigeria should be very careful ahead of the coming elections so that what happened in 1993 would not repeat itself; and if that happens, Nigeria will be in a very big mess.”

According to Rev. Nebo, the condition of things in the country currently and from the revelation he had about the elections, “things are not smooth at all. I am not trying to be political; I’m just delivering a message and the basis is that we should give peace a chance.”

He advised the old politicians who had been in control of Nigeria’s affairs to give chance for the new breed politicians insisting that it was the same people who piloted the affairs of that 1992/1993 era that are coming to cause trouble for the country again.

“Before the New Year even bomb blasts in Abuja, the revelation had come; it came at 12 noon on December 31st and the blast came later that evening so this is just the beginning of what we are going to see if care is not taken,” he said.

Rev Nebo, however, urged Nigerians to get on their knees and pray fervently so that the envisaged disaster would be averted.  “The message warned that we should continue to pray using Psalm 51, 57, 121 and 127; and in Psalm 127 it states that if the Almighty God did not build a city, those that buildeth do so in vain. Nigerians should go back and pray with these chapters of the Bible,” he further advised.
