Candidate for the Delta State governorship re-run election, Emmanuel Uduaghan has restated his desire to make Warri Wolves a model football club.

Uduaghan who watched Warri Wolves versus Zamfara United Sunday spared some moments to address players of the Nigeria Premier League side Sunday.

He told the players to work hard for the glory of Delta state and lift the name of their club above all others in the country and the African continent.

“You must remain focused and demonstrate that strength in character that makes you special,” the former governor challenged the players.

He assured them that he would be re-elected as governor of Delta State and when that happens, the club could be guaranteed of constant attention and patronage of government.

“I have demonstrated that before and you know I won’t change overnight. My administration shall give you all that is required to make Warri Wolves become one of the best clubs in Africa and the world,” Uduaghan said.

The former governor who was at the Warri stadium to prepare grounds for the kick-start of his re-election campaign by President Goodluck Jonathan this week, told the players to always play according to the rules and remain disciplined. “At the end of the day it is your conduct that counts. Be of good behaviour as we step out to reclaim what belongs to us,”
