Renowned technocrat and political leader, Chief Abel Ubeku, yesterday, said he had not endorsed Chief Ovie Omo-Agege of the Republican Party of Nigeria, RPN, for the January 6, gubernatorial rerun election in Delta State.
He said, “As an elder and political leader, I bless anybody who is aspiring to any political position in Delta State. That is what I did when Omo-Agege visited me. I am a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and a former Board of Trustee member. I cannot endorse any other candidate outside the PDP.
“As a democrat, I, however, encourage healthy competition in aspirations to political offices. I support the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in her quest to orgainse a free and fair election in the state and also encourage people to come out to vote in the election re-run,” he added.
