MR Eugene Enahoro, son of the late elder statesman, Chief Anthony Enohoro, has appealed to the Federal Government to immortalize his father by providing the dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

He said it was only when Nigerians are happy that his late father would be able to smile wherever he was.

This is  coming as a member of the House of Representatives, Mr Samson Osagie, urged the Federal Government accord the late Enahoro with a befitting burial, saying that, “he must be celebrated by the nation because he epitomizes a true democrat and an astute pro-democracy icon through out his life.”

However, Ken who spoke when the Founding chairman of the Social Democratic Mega party, SDMP, Prof Pat Utomi, national chairman, National Conscience Party, NCP and human rights activist, Femi Falana and a Governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ken Imasuagbon, paid the family a condolence visit Sunday, said his father lamented the leadership problem, poor infrastructural facilities in the country while he was alive, adding that the deceased could only be happy if things change for the better.

Utomi said all democrats should come together irrespective of political party affiliation to salvage the country, adding that it was what Enahoro was preaching in his last days on earth. “We have lost something that is beyond our estimation. We cannot begin to estimate what has happened because we have lost the symbol of our nation,” he added.
