My performance’ll return me, says Uduaghan

By Gbenga Oke
Former Governor of Delta State and front-runner in the forthcoming re-run election, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has declared that his performance in office in the last  three and a half years as well as the understanding of the people of Delta State will return him to office and not the singular ‘effort’ of  any godfather.

Speaking through his consultant on Public Communication and Strategy, Phrank Shaibu,  Dr. Uduaghan,  said that “the grammar of politics is hollow without the people and that his confidence in winning the re-run election is based on the successes recorded by his administration in the last three years.

Tribute to the patriotism, co-operation, hardwork, honesty, God- fearing and disciplined followership of the people and the excellence and beauty of the Delta spirit is what I seek to restore after winning the re-run election and beyond.

“Our giant strides are in infrastructural rehabilitation and concrete development in the sectors of power generation, housing, transportation, education, sports and security; from our free maternal health service and free health service for the under five children.”

our buses that go to the communities go to the villages, our scholarship scheme for our secondary school students who no longer pay examination fees or  school fees, the university students that we have now increased their bursary from N10,000 to N20,000; our micro credit scheme that has affected the lives of many people at the grass roots, to our youth empowerment scheme especially in the area of agriculture for many of our youths that we have trained in the field of agriculture and we have set up farms for them. All these have made us truly feel the fulfillment of accomplished and appreciated servants as we see our dreams translated into smiles on the faces of our people” he stated.

Uduaghan however called on Deltans to be wary of aspirants who have penchant for perennial disappearance after suffering woeful political defeats on the electoral field.

“It is a pity that in spite of some aspirants outright public rejection and dwindling political fortress after being rejected twice have continued to plot one heinous evil or the other coated and laced with blatant falsehood all designed to bring us down to public opprobrium”.
