LAGOS — A middle aged woman, named Chinyere Njebu, slumped and died Tuesday at the food court of the new Domestic Terminal II of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja.
The woman was said to have slumped at an eatery located in the terminal after taking a can of beer.
Speaking with newsmen yesterday, the supervisor of the eatery, Mr. Atoyebi Toafeek said the woman came to the bar to request for two cans of Guinness in company of a middle aged man, with whom they sat for hours relaxing at the hall.
Taofeek explained that after the woman drank the beer, she slumped.
He explained that some passengers that came to rescue her, put her in a stretcher and rushed her to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.
A statement issued by the Corporate Affairs Unit of Bi-Courtney Aviation and signed by Chukwudi Ofomata said: ”At about noon yesterday, an intending IRS passenger to Abuja named Chinyere Njebu, slumped while having a drink at Barcellos Restaurant in the terminal.
The security personnel at the food court immediately alerted BASL and Zenith Medical within the terminal, and she was rushed to Eko Hospital in an ambulance.”
