THE Ohaneze Ndigbo in Ondo State, on Friday, lauded the  developmental projects embarked upon by the Governor  Olusegun Mimiko across the state and appealed to him to accommodate them in the scheme of things in the state.

Speaking at the launch of a N50m ultra- modern Igbo community hall in Akure, its president- general,  Mr. Sunday Maduako, said  the governor had delivered dividends of democracy.

He appealed to the people of the state to support the governor in his efforts to better the lot  of the masses.
Maduako, however, appealed to Mimiko  to fulfill the promise made to Ohaneze Ndigbo during his campaign  two years ago.

The Ohanaeze Chief asked the governor to provide them an alternative community hall, adding that the present one had been in existence for over 60 years.

He said Igbo in the state were supportive of his administration and would expect him to reciprocate their gesture.

Speaking on the lingering leadership tussle in the Igbo community, the Ohanaeze president  said it had been resolved, adding that the group  is one united body with her head office in  Enugu, Enugu State.

He pointed out that while he is the president, Chief Emmanuel Nwaobodo is the leader (Onye Ndu Ndigbo) in the state.

The president-general of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ambassador Ralph Uwechue, appealed for peace in states where leadership crisis exists  in the community.

Uwechue said the issue of who leads the community should not become a factor for constant bickering and quarrels.
