Delta: Tuoyo, Tonwe sweep Ugborodo ward for Okowa, PDP

Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Area, Hon Taiye Duke Tuoyo and Director-General of Security, Inland, and Waterways, Delta State, Hon. David Tonwe has delivered the entire 11 units under Ajudaibo Ward 9 in Ugborodo, Warri South-West Local Government Area for Delta State Governor/PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi  Okowa and PDP Candidate for Warri South-West Constituency Seat in the State House of Assembly, Mr. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor.

INEC Collation Officer for Ajudaibo Ward 9, Mr. Hilary Oshioke who declared the result, stated that Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa of PDP polled 2,863 votes and his closest rival, Chief Great Ogboru of APC garnered 683 votes.

PDP Candidate for Warri South-West Constituency Seat, Mr. Emomotimi  Guwor scored 2,689 votes, leaving Mr. Besidone Eyengho of the All Progressives Congress with 322 votes in the same Ajudaibo Ward 9.

 

The  council boss  commended INEC for the peaceful conduct, expressed confidence that Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa will emerge victorious, adding, “in fact,  by the special Grace of God, he (Dr. Okowa) has won the election, because he has constructed several  roads, built health care  and education facilities as well as other development projects in the riverine communities”.

The Director-General of Security, Inland, and Waterways also commended INEC for the peaceful conduct, while expressing optimism that PDP will win the local government area massively.
