Some Niger Delta Amnesty beneficiaries have called on the leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) to probe the body’s educational unit. A press statement signed by Mr. Eneluwe Collins and Mr. Denila Macaulay on behalf of the affected beneficiaries, said: “ We are speaking for beneficiaries that were short-changed across Niger Delta. Our findings are that real recipients have been substituted with UN-CODE numbers to benefit from the university educational programme.”

Special Adviser Media of PAP, Mr. Murphy Ganagana, declined comment when we called. He said he would get back to this reporter but never did.
The alleged short-changed beneficiaries number over three thousand. “We have been verified by relevant officials for deployment to various universities. But one top official refused to deploy us and no genuine reason was given”, the statement said.
They pleaded with the Coordinator of the Amnesty Programme, Prof.Charles Dokubo, to intervene and correct the alleged injustice.
