Theresa Ibori, the former First Lady of Delta State, is to spend the next 5 years in London jail .

The London jury in her Southwark Crown Court trial returned their verdict today.

James Ibori’s United Kingdom lawyer, Mr. Bhadresh Gohil, who was on trial with Theresa, has been remanded in police custody, awaiting sentencing.

In a previous trial, the court had also sent to prison Ibori’s sister, Christine Ibori-Ibie; and  his mistress, Udoamaka Okoronkwo-Onuigbo. The main culprit, James Ibori, awaits extradition to the UK to face three set of trials relating to money laundering and theft of delta state resources.
