Starcomms Plc., has added two awards to its feather recently at this year’s African Telecommunications Hall of Fame Awards. Also, the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Maher Qubain was adjudged, the Telecommunications CEO of the year, an award formerly known as the Nigerian Information Technology and Telecommunication Awards.

At the event, Maher Qubain, was described by the organisers as the proactive captain of the industry who has embraced innovation as a viable business tool, having put Nigeria on the world map as home to the company that first launched the inter-standard roaming facilities to CDMA customers. He  was represented at the event by the company’s Marketing Director, Mr. Richard Gill.

According to the organisers, consistently for four years, the company has remained on top of its game and getting the judges’ nod at the prestigious awards as the CDMA company of the year and provider of the internet product of the year IZAP for the third year in a row.
