BENIN—AS Governor Adams Oshiomhole celebrates his second year in office today the Governor has reiterated his desire to uplift the lives of the people of the state despite what he described as the “primitive political opposition” of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.

The governor who spoke when he went to commission the 80- bedroom ultra-modern hostels and classrooms at the state School of Health Technology and the St Maria Gorretti Girls Secondary school, said he became Governor of the state today as a result of the strength and doggedness of the people of the state and vowed to ensure the completion of all projects before the expiration of his tenure.

Addressing the students of the state school of Health Technology, after they complained that the school fees were increased arbitrarily, Oshiomhole explained that “what I was told was that there are some things that you used to pay for on adhoc basis. I am told that sometimes you are asked to pay x on uniform and why you want to go on excursion,  and that what they decided to do is regularize all of that  by adding them together.”
