It has been revealed how the former Nigerian Football Federation board under Sani Lulu deliberately underpaid coaches of the national teams.
During Lulu’s era, some of the coaches were earning as low as N30, 000 monthly and even at that they seldom get paid and they dared not complain otherwise they could lose their jobs.
“This was the arrangement of the former technical committee led by Taiwo Ogunjobi. They deliberately negotiated low pay with coaches knowing fully well that these coaches have no choice, but to accept,” said a former board member of the NFF during an interview.
However, it was learnt that the new board of the NFF will review the peanuts pay of the affected coaches who are handling the underage teams and the women teams.
