Perpetual: My tormentor in-chief ,Eucharia

By Tony Ubani
OVERWHELMED Chief Coach of Falcons, Uche Eucharia ran of words yesterday in praising her sharp-shooter, Perpetual Nkwocha after the Sunana of Sweden player hit a brace that sank Banyana Banyana of South Africa in their second match of the African Women Championship in Sinama, South Africa.

Perpetual tops the goalscorer’s chart with an amazing five goals in two matches after she scored a hat-trick against Mali in Falcons 5-1 demolition of their West African sisters at the on-going championship.

Ï am overwhelmed. She is my tormentor in-chief, she is my commander in-chief, she is red-hot”, Eucharia said of her former colleague as the Falcons flew into the quarter-final of the championship showing signs of reclaiming trophy they lost two years ago to Equatorial Guinea;

“The whole players played very well despite the support of the home crowd. But Perpetual was exceptional. She has been the motivator in-chief of the team on and off the pitch. I am happy that we are cruising at an altitude that no other team can reach us”, Eucharia noted.

Her South African counterpart, Austin Makalele was in happy in defeat. “My girls did very well against Nigeria. “We still have a chance of qualifying with our last match against Mali. The Nigerians were good and they should be”, he said.
