Former Green Eagles attacking midfielder, Adokie Amiesiamaka has condemned the process that resulted in the choice of a new coach for the national team.
Speaking yesterday on the popular sports programme on Ray Power fm, Peak Soccer anchored by ace sports commentator, Mitchel Obi, the former chairman of Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt said the Nigeria Football Federation was wrong to have pitched Samson Siasia against Stephen Keshi in the run-up to the appointment.
“No, it is never done. If the NFF knew what they wanted, they should have gone straight for the coach that would suit their requirements, negotiate with him, if negotiations fail, they can go to option B or C as the case may be. What they have done now was to pitch two great sons of Nigeria in an unnecessary contest.
It is out of place,” the former Nigeria international remarked, adding, “it is still going to be the same old story as we had with Berti Vogts, Lars Lagerback, Shaibu Amodu, etc. When are we going to learn?”
