ASABA—SUSPECTS connected with explosions that rocked Government House, Asaba, Delta State on Wednesday, might be arrested before weekend, even as bomb disposal experts are working on possible clues to ascertain the exact nature of the explosion.
State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Charles Muka, confirmed that no arrest has so far been made but said, “so far, the bomb disposal unit has commenced investigation.
Although we have not arrested anybody yet, we are working on clues. We are piecing information together and the lead shows that we might before weekend, carry out arrest of the suspects, who might have planted whatever it was that exploded. We are closing in on them.”
The area has remained cordoned off.
Two explosions went off at about 3pm on Wednesday at the VIP Guest House located within the Government House complex.
