AKURE— OVER N200million has been expended on 30 projects executed in nine communities in oil rich Ilaje council areas of Ondo State in the last five years.

Chairman of the Ilaje Regional Development Council, RDC, Chief Raphael Nomiye, said this during the commissioning of some projects in Awoye, Molutehin, Igo, Rewoye Opuekeba and Jerinwo, all in Ilaje council area of the state.

Nomiye said the 30 projects scattered across the oil rich communities, include provision of reverse Osmosis water, concrete and wooden foot bridges, buildings, town halls, loans facilities, scholarship awards, empowerment programme, provision of public toilets and quarterly medical programme for aged persons and pregnant women.

The Chairman said the concept of the RDC established by Chevron Nigeria Limited, had provided a platform for sustainable development based on transparency and accountability with refined goals and objectives.
