ABUJA—Alliance for Democracy, AD, yesterday tongue-lashed governors of the five South East states over their inability to resolve the protracted industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, of state universities in the zone, describing their actions as unpatriotic and selfish.
The party in a statement by its Acting National Chairman, Rev. Okechukwu Obioha, said it condemned the unpatriotic attitude of the South East governors over the protracted strike by ASUU in the zone.
According to Obioha, “the insensitivity and non-chalant attitude of the governors show their lack of interest in the educational development of the youths, the welfare of the lecturers and provision of necessary facilities in the universities.”
