LAGOS — A coalition, Legacy Initiative International, has promised to tackle ethnic and religious intolerance in the country.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos, President of the group, Dr. Bolaji Akinyemi said: “Legacy Initiative International has set out to deal with divisive forces bedevilling the nation by means of building a concession among our national elites. We have decided to focus our advocacy on tackling hard-core issues notably ethnicity and religious intolerance that is a clog within the wheel of achieving a sustainable and peaceful co-existence in the nation.

“We are also calling on religious bodies with the same fame and vigour to the election process in Nigeria in a coordinated effort to ensure the emergence of ethical governance.”
