BENIN—A House of Representatives aspirant for Etsako Federal Constituency, Chief Julius Abuda, has denied rumour that the current members of the House of Representatives from the state would get automatic return tickets, insisting that candidates would emerge through due process.
Abuda, said the push by some aspirants to be given automatic ticket or imposed had been laid to rest by the National Chairman of the party, Mr Adams Oshiomhole in a recent meeting he held with politicians from Edo North .
The House of Representatives hopeful who spoke to newsmen in Benin City, said he was sure of clinching his party’s ticket.
He said: “We have people who have served two terms at the National Assembly. What really matters most in giving ticket is to know your political weight.”
