Private investors to brainstorm on branding principles

Private investors, under the umbrella of African Business Roundtable (ABR), has concluded arrangement to brainstorm on branding principles and philosophy that would help move the economy forward.

The ABR has adopted the Brand Directors’ Conference as part of its initiatives and has concluded plans to host it at the Muson Centre in Lagos.

The Conference, in the character of gathering eminent speaker last year, held and was addressed, by world’s eminent marketing scholar, Professor Steve from Oxford University . It equally saw Otunba Subomi Balogun, a veteran banker, who gave his experience of his Brand, the FCMB. The Conference again has a line up of very eminent Speakers of tested and reputable Brands.

Notable among them is Professor Pat Utomi of the Lagos Business School . He will speak on: “Brand Engineering, a tool for National Economic Development in Africa : Brand Engineering in a Developing Economy.”  While Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, the Head of Brand Communications of First Bank Plc will speak on  “Branding a Bank in the Face of a Tough Economy and Regulatory Framework”

Alhaji. Bamanga Tukur, President, African Business Roundtable shall be the Chairman of the occasion. The Conference plans to host eminent Brand Builders, CEO, Brand Directors and Senior Managers in Brand Communications Image Makers and Marketing Professionals.

The Objectives of the Conference include: The conference has a responsibility to harness and coordinate the entire gamut of existing prominent brands in the economy, sector for sector for a talk in a conference to revisit the operational strategies for brand performance in a recession.

The Conference scheduled to hold on the 11th November, 2010 will also discuss the issue of  increasing micro-unitary advantages of the individual brands for greater profitability, visibility and leadership possibilities.

According to the organizers, the conference will gather together Brand Directors from all different backgrounds to rub minds on the theories and practice of making Brands more visible.

Seeking to develop and transform recognized local and indigenous brands to global recognition by eliciting some endorsement from world scholars.
