UGHELLI—THE Initiative for Better Power Supply, a non-governmental organisation, has called for the immediate sack of the Minister of State for Power and Energy, Mr Nuhu Way, describing him as incompetent.

IBPS in a statement, yesterday, appealed to workers of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Warri-Effurun Business District,  to call off their work to rule action, over the delay in the payment of their salary arrears.

The group in the statement by its national Cordinator, Mr Don Onose, urged the striking workers to exercise some patients and called for the setting up of a committee to investigate the delay in the payment of the arrears to the aggrieved workers.

Alleging that workers were being paid the arrears in some districts of the PHCN, it frowned at the selective payment of the arrears and called on the Federal Government to implement the agreement it reached with the union and management of  PHCN  on  July 25, 2010.
