Following a recent  rift between the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists, NAPE, over the forth coming Deepwater Conference tagged, “DOWAC 2010”,

The management of the NNPC has pledged to continue to partner with the association towards the growth of the Nigerian oil and gas sector.

The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Department of the NNPC, Dr Levi Ajuonuma, disclosed this after a meeting with the executives of NAPE who visited the corporation in Abuja, to brief the management on the association’s forthcoming 3rd Regional Deepwater Offshore West Africa Conference and Exhibition billed to hold from 14th to 18th November, 2010, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

Dr Ajuonuma, who praised NAPE as a renowned and respected industry professional association, traced the history of the cooperation between the NNPC and NAPE and called on industry stakeholders and members of the public to support the successful hosting of the conference and exhibition.
