ASABA—AREWA community in Delta State, yesterday, held a rally in Asaba and adopted Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as its sole governorship candidate for the 2019 election.

Members of the Arewa community in their separate remarks at the well attended rally, said Governor Okowa was hardworking and meant well for the state.

They said the impact of the Okowa’s administration was being felt in the past three years across the length and breadth of the state.

A leader in the Arewa community, Alhaji Auwalu Tukur said: “We are eternally grateful to the governor for appointing some of us into his cabinet as Special Assistants, Board Chairmen and Board members, youth and women committees, and also as liaison officers. We call on other state governors to emulate Okowa.”

On her part, Arewa Community Leader, Mrs. Mariam Abdulraman said the Arewa community had benefited a lot in terms of appointments and distribution of infrastructure in the Okowa’s administration.
