Arik Air emerges successful in safety audit

By Kenneth Ehigiator

Arik Air has emerged successful in the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit, IOSA, concluded last week.

The IATA Operational Safety Audit, IOSA, programme is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline.

With the pass mark scored in the safety audit, Arik Air has qualified to join the elite global airline group which has Air Nigeria (Virgin Nigeria) as the only Nigerian carrier in its fold.

Consequently, the airline would not only be able to interline with other major airlines in the world, but also conveniently service its New York, London and Johannesburg operations by taking its passengers to their final destinations anywhere in the US, UK and South Africa.
