Leading businessman with large amount of political goodwill in Abia state because of his charitable involvements and community development initiatives, Chima Anyaso, yesterday in Igbere, Bende Federal Constituency, formally declared his interest to represent Bende Federal Constituency at the National Assembly come 2019.

The declaration was witnessed by many leading politicians in Bende Federal Constituency.

Top members of the PDP in the state who witnessed the declaration were very pleased that after so much deliberations and consultations the Igbere born businessman has finally committed to run for the exalted legislative office.

In an overwhelming show of love, different community groups trooped out amass to appreciate the achievements and aspirations of Chima Anyaso who they say has initiated and executed numerous lifesaving and community development projects singlehandedly.

For many of his constituents, it is a time to pay Chima Anyaso back for his investment into the life of the people. According to a group of elders “we the people of Bende have for the past 10 years or so been yearning for someone who will wholeheartedly represent our interest at the federal House of Assembly.

Today marks a turning point for us and we will support Chima Anyaso to see that he wins outrightly. With what he has done as an individual, we are convinced he will turn around our constituency and give us a voice at the federal level”

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Chima Anyaso committed to provide leadership, saying “I am unashamedly loyal to Bende and my antecedent proves this beyond reasonable doubt to everyone who knows me well enough.

‘So, in times like this when our villages and communities are facing uncertain fate, a time when hunger and poverty has almost turned our communities into ghost towns, it behooves on those of us who claim to love our people to stand up in defense of the defenseless, to fight for the betterment of the lives of those who whom God have given us the responsibility to protect”
