‘Education needs discipline for a progressive society’

TO have a progressive society, youths must complement education with discipline, says the Commandant of Command Day Secondary School, Ojo, Lt. Col. Musa Bappaiya, who spoke at the school’s 18th valedictory, speech and prize-giving day , Lagos.

According to him, “students who pass through command schools are independent and confident. But, above all, they are disciplined. Discipline complements education, which is necessary for any society to make progress.”

Corroborating the Commandant, Chairman of the school’s Parents, Teachers’ Association, PTA, Professor Bidemi Idowu, of Lagos State University, said the synergy between all stakeholders in the school had helped build very complete students.

At the event, Mrs V. O. Abayomi, Deputy Director, 81 Division Quality Assurance Evaluation Unit, gave a talk on “Sexuality and Sexual Promiscuity Among the Under-Aged.”
